Sean's Birthday Weekend and Other EXCITING News!!!

Last weekend we went and spent the weekend at Basewood Resort in Platte City. Sean's parent's are parked there for about a month so we decided that we would celebrate Sean's Birthday by spending the weekend there. His grandmother was in from Colorado. It was great to get to see her. Also, Sean's sisters, brother-in-law, nephew and dogs came in from Columbia, so the whole family was together. It was wonderful. Sean also got his birthday gift...a brand new gas grill!! It is beautiful! It took A LOT of lying and scheming for us to pull off this surprise. I even had a girl in my office get Sean's "advice" on this grill for her husband for father's day. This was a huge tri-fecta gift (his birthday, anniversary, and Father's Day are all within a week of each other) from me and the boys, his parent's, both sets of grandparents and my parents (the snow cone machine was just another cover up to buy us time for this big surprise...it was actually from me and the boys). He was shocked!!! Which made the months of sneaking around totally worth it! Also we got some BIG news this weekend as well! It you will notice on the left hand side of our screen.."Collin's going to be a big brother". Which means Sean's sister Stephani and her husband Eric are expecting again. You can take a look at how they told us in the last picture. We are very excited. They will not find out what they are having, so we will have to wait until February to find out if we will have another nephew or our first niece. Collin and the new baby will be even closer in age then our boys. The baby will come at the beginning of February and Collin will turn 2 at the beginning of May! We will keep you up to date on what happens with this new addition to our family!!!

Father's Day!

Father's Day weekend was great! Not to busy, surprisingly enough seeing as it was a holiday! The boys played outside on Saturday, it was so beautiful. We weren't going to get out the pool, we were just letting them play with their water guns, but since Alex was swimming one way or another we gave in. Sunday we got to spend the morning and afternoon with just the four of us. We went to church and then came home and ate lunch and gave Sean his father's Day gifts. That evening we headed to Stewartsville to see Mindi's dad. We also headed back to our old church for fellowship supper that night. It was great to see everyone again and the boys had a blast playing with Josh.

Alex "swimming" in a bucket. We were using it to fill up the water guns...but he had other ideas.
Sean spraying the boys. What fun!
Christopher helps fill up the pool by holding up the hose. It was a very important job.
The boys give their daddy his father's day cards.

Another Busy Weekend!

We had yet another busy weekend. Saturday Mimi (Mindi's Mom), Grandma Jane, Aunt Kay Kay, and our cousin Hailey came up to visit. We loved seeing everyone and the boys had a great time. Saturday night we had a fried chicken dinner at Kari's house in Stewartsville. Then on Sunday we had church and headed over to our pastor's house for a BBQ. The kids played on the water slide and we all had a great time. Another busy weekend...but another great one!

Needless to say....it was a busy weekend. Topher is asleep in a grocery cart at Wal-Mart, notice his hand is still in the cookies. Alex crashed on the couch as soon as we got home. Also, that is his new elmo he got on Sunday and hasn't had out of his arms since. He is so cute with it.

Weekend Update

We have had quite the busy life lately. Memorial Day Weekend Moogie and PaPaw (Sean's parents) came to visit. On Saturday we went to Jiggle Jam at Crown Center where we got to see Mr. Stinky Feet, Jim Crossgrove, a local children's musician that we just love and They Might Be Giants, who we again, just love! The kids had a blast. This is something I would recommend to anyone and we will definitely go again next year. That Sunday the boys also got their first opportunity to play in there pool and sprinkler that they got for Easter. This past weekend our church sponsored a Child Safety and Wellness Fair here in town. Christopher had a wonderful time checking everything out. Then on Sunday was PaPa's (Mindi's Dad) birthday. It was great to see everyone there too! Always busy busy busy! But we are enjoying every minute of these little boy's life's. They are just to much fun!
